About Me:
JUGGANOT

Born in the Bronx on September 12, 1980 of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent. The self-proclaimed “KING OF NEW YORK”.
Jugganot is everyman’s MC. He never writes his lyrics, he memorizes everything. He’s to gully to be pigeonholed as underground, and eloquent enough to detour generic hood rap stereotypes. It’s only a matter of time before everything comes full circle then he’s going to kill them (the industry).
At the young age of 16, Jugganot dropped his first album, Mixed Drinks in 1997. He sold more than 2,000 copies. He stated that the best part of he’s initial experience was the live performances. He says it's everything to him.
Jugganot biggest inspiration is himself. He says it took him a while to get to this level, so he feels it's definitely something to be proud of. Other influences to him on a personal level are his mother, who he states is very deep when it comes to poetry. Rapper/Producer(s) who have influenced him are Tupac, Nas, Jay-Z, and Dr. Dre.
Maturing, he took rap more serious. In 2002, Jugganot began hitting mix tapes like Jimmy Swag, DJ Ghumba and BsR. He’s also made appearances on college radio stations like 88.1 and Long Islands 105.3. That lead to getting the attention of one of New York’s top DJ’s REST IN PEACE “Carl Blaze” whom began to give him more exposure locally on FM station 105.1 in New York.
In October of 2005, Jugganot dropped his sophomore album, “The Jooks”. Whether rhyming about violence going on in the hood or about girls, Jugganot displayed the ability to drop gems without boring the listener’s. All this while holding down a 9 to 5 job and the birth of his first born. With the success of “The Jooks” Jugganot emerge as a force to be reckoned with.
With new management and the upstart of his own new independent label “Rollin Green Records”, Jugganot’s third album was released in August 2007. The tracks strike at multiple levels, with literal battle rhymes crisscrossing beats and powerful messages bubbling beneath, he’s living what he speaks about in his music. With new producers and a new street team, “CASH RULES” is a well-put together album. With a steady grind, confident lyrics and a charismatic delivery, Jugganot has managed to separate himself from the slew of dwelling MC’s. Jugganot has become the new face to represent New York. Making hits is his way of becoming part of the New York Hip-Hop legacy.
As the “dark cloud” theory of Hip Hop lacking authenticity and content grows, East Coast MC ‘Jugganot” plans to bring balance to the genre. His ultimate goal is to be remembered as one of the great ones of this generation and the next to come.
